A procedure to install PyCamp packages for Fedora Core

Document Actions
Tested on FC4 and FC5. Using RPMs developed by TriZPUG. Depending on how you installed Fedora Core, some users may need to yum install compat-libf2c-32 before the rpm steps.


yum install tcl-devel

yum install tk-devel

yum install tkinter

yum install atlas-devel

yum install fftw2-devel

yum install netcdf-devel


mkdir -p /usr/local/netcdf-3/include

mkdir -p /usr/local/netcdf-3/lib

cd /usr/local/netcdf-3/include

ln -sf /usr/include/netcdf-3/* .

cd ../lib

ln -sf /usr/lib/netcdf-3/* .

yum install python-numeric

yum instal python-numarray

yum install python-fpconst

yum install gnuplot

yum install python-matplotlib

cd /usr/local/src


rpm -ivh SOAPpy-0.11.6-1.noarch.rpm


rpm -ivh gnuplot-py-1.7-1.noarch.rpm


rpm -ivh numpy-0.9.8-1.i386.rpm


rpm -ivh scipy-0.4.9-1.i386.rpm


rpm -ivh ScientificPython-2.4.11-1.i386.rpm
